Black Magic Wonder

I love this technique for a very dramatic effect.  You are colouring on stamped white ink!

This card was done with watercolour pencils instead of watercolour crayons.  And I added my own twist by lightly blending the colours with an aquapainter for added depth.

Note also the gel pen provides dramatic highlights and the orange glitter adds some awesome sparkle and pops on the dark cardstock (from the Fine Supernova pack, Idea Book & Catalogue page 180).

Love Bug Birthday

I gave this card to my nephew, Liam, for his 2nd birthday recently.  It uses the hostess set called "Love Bug" and the designer series paper Razzleberry Lemondade.  You can earn this set when you host a party.  Contact me at fun@stampwithjenn.com for available dates. 

I love the bright fun colours in this card....Crushed curry, Pumpkin Pie and Certainly Celery.  The "bug" was stamped in Basic Black ink and then coloured with matching markers.  Click on the image to see it bigger (check out those adorable little boots!).

The saying is from the stamp set "Family Phrases" which was featured today in my Card of the Week email.  Be sure you are signed up to my newsletter list (top left hand corner of this blog) to get those emails.  I used the new Modern Label Punch from Stampin' Up! to punch out the saying.

I know Liam loved the card...he opened it and put it in the the trunk of his Thomas the Tank Engine for safe keeping!
